Community Meals Program

You're Invited to a Seat at Our Table

Anyone in the community is invited to join us for free, healthy meals at the Main Campus in Salem and Grace Center in Gloucester. Our kitchen accommodates special dietary needs, including conditions like diabetes, and features fresh produce from our Seeds of Hope Garden. Nutrition Leads to Stability

Without a nutritious meal, there isn’t much you can accomplish. Once nourished, folks are much better prepared to begin or continue their journey, whether that includes assistance with mental health, substance use, housing, building support networks, or employment.

Our “Seeds of Hope” Garden

Lifebridge’s Seeds of Hope Garden in Salem, Mass. allows clients and volunteers to directly contribute to the food they eat by growing fresh vegetables in their own backyard. If you help out in the garden and eat a community meal at Lifebridge Main Campus, you’re likely to see something you’ve helped grow on your plate.

The garden is maintained through the Lifebridge Garden Club, volunteers, and staff. In addition to providing food for community meals, the garden also gives guests a greenspace where you can relax or participate in group activities like meditation and yoga.

Volunteer or Donate

“We are not a food pantry. Many of our clients don’t have the resources to take home a box of pasta or fresh vegetables and prepare a meal. What we provide are meals cooked with care, served with dignity, and meant to nourish both body and soul. And we could not do this work without our community.

From local restaurants and grocery stores who donate ingredients, to church groups who cook and serve meals, to our kitchen staff who creatively work with whatever they have to feed hundreds of people each week — it literally takes a village.”
